About the Scholarship
The Dr. Colonel Bertram (C.B.) Fuller Scholarship honors the legacy of a man whose life reflected courage and determination despite the obstacles.
This scholarship supports students who are preparing for college and are committed to making a difference in their communities.
Essay Requirement
All applicants must submit an original essay titled:
“How would receiving this scholarship help achieve your goals and aspirations and what would you do to help the next generation achieve theirs.”
• 500 words, double space in MLA format
• Must be original work
• File format: PDF format onl
Must be a graduating senior, entering a four-year college/university as a full-time
student in Summer/Fall 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

Attend a high school in the Grater Katy, Fulshear, Cypress and Brookshire areas.

Scholarship Essay Instruction
As part of the scholarship selection process, applicants will be evaluated based on their essay submission.
Essay Prompt
In 500 words, write an essay titled:
“How would receiving this scholarship help achieve your goals and aspirations and what would you do to help the next generation achieve theirs.”
Your essay should reflect your personal perspective, experiences, and beliefs about your life and future.

• Essay must be 500 words
Must be Double Spaced in MLA format
• Must include the exact title provided
• Submit original work only (no plagiarism)
• Use clear organization, complete sentences, and proper grammar
• File format must be PDF document ONLY
Submissions in any other format will not be accepted
Deadline
All essays must be submitted by July 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Late submissions will not be accepted.
